- Go to Settings.
- Go to the On Startup section.

Reset all current Safari settings
- Go to the Safari menu.
- Select Preferences.
- The Preferences window will appear where you need to select Extensions. Look for recently installed extensions.
- Uninstall each recently installed extension.
- Go to the Preferences window and choose General, where the home page should be set to the desired URL.
Method 3: Remove SopitaAm from Control Panel
To fix the situation, you need to go to the Windows Control Panel. Each version of the operating system has its way:
Windows 8: right-click in the lower-left corner, where you select the Control Panel.
Windows XP, 7, 10, Vista: go to Start, where you must select the Control Panel.
Now set View By small icons. Windows XP has its method: click Switch to the classic view on the left.
- Open Programs and Features. In Windows XP, you open Add or Remove Programs.
- Click on Installed On to sort each program by the installation date.
- Find SopitaAm and remove it immediately.
- Additionally, uninstall all unknown programs that have been installed on the PC recently.
Method 4: Use AVarmor
The antivirus program will find the malware and then remove it from your browser and PC.
First, you need to download AVarmor and run it. After the scan is complete, you need to select the found objects, which will be located in the Registry and Web Browsers tabs. Boldly delete each found object to clear your computer.

Remove the search engine by Settings

Uninstall/uninstall web extension.

- Select More Tools.
- Click Extensions.
- Find the extensions you are trying to disable or remove.
Reset Browser Settings
- Select Settings.
- Now go to Advanced Settings.

- Click Reset Settings.
- Restart the browser.
Delete temporary files
The temporary files folder contains a malicious file, so you should delete all temporary files.
- Open Run.
- Type %temp%.
- Press Enter.
- Next, C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp will appear in front of the user.
- Go to the temp folder and delete the files.
- Select the Microsoft Edge menu icon.
- Select Extensions.
- Find any recently installed browser add-ons and uninstall them.
- Change home page settings by clicking the Microsoft Edge menu icon.
- Select Settings.
- Go to the On Startup section and disable the malicious plugin.
- Select the Safari menu when the browser is active.
- Go to Preferences.
- A preferences window appears where you select Extensions.
- Look at the recently installed extensions and remove them.
- Now select the General tab in the Preferences window.
- See that the homepage is set to the URL you want.
